Terms & Conditions
Clear, transparent legal terms and End User License Agreement (EULA) governing the purchase and use of the MySoundLib desktop software and website. Software license granted by MySoundLib as an entity. Developed by Thiago Neppel (Thneppel). Last updated: March 2026.
1. License Grant & Usage (EULA)
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and MySoundLib ("Company", "Licensor"). When you purchase MySoundLib, the Company grants you a personal, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and run the software on computers that you own or operate for commercial or personal audio management, sound design, and video editing workflows.
- One-Time Purchase: Your license is lifetime and includes all updates. There are no recurring subscriptions or hidden maintenance fees.
- Multiple Devices: Your license is for your personal use and can be activated across your own computers (such as your desktop workstations and laptops). Sharing or distributing license keys to third parties is not permitted. Automated fair-use activation thresholds apply; if an unusually high number of activations is detected on a single key, further activations will require verification via support@mysoundlib.com.
- Intellectual Property & Restrictions: The software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title, and intellectual property in MySoundLib remain exclusively with MySoundLib (created and developed by Thiago Neppel). You may not redistribute, resell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or decompile the application binary.
2. Ownership of Your Audio & Content
You retain 100% ownership of your audio files, sound libraries, metadata, and creative projects.
MySoundLib functions as an offline indexing, previewing, and asset management utility. The software does not provide bundled audio content; you create, import, and organize all libraries independently. MySoundLib claims zero ownership, rights, or royalties whatsoever over any sounds, music, recordings, or files you index, preview, trim, or export.
3. Local File Safety & Non-Destructive Processing
MySoundLib is engineered around non-destructive local workflows:
- Audio folders are indexed in read-only mode; source files on your disks are never modified or deleted without explicit user confirmation.
- Waveform trims generate new temporary audio slices in your cache directory to drag directly onto your NLE timeline without altering your master sound files.
- You remain responsible for maintaining proper backups of your original audio libraries and system data.
4. Purchases, Pricing & Refunds
All financial transactions are conducted securely through Gumroad, which handles payment processing, local tax calculation, and invoicing.
If MySoundLib does not function properly on your supported operating system and our support cannot resolve the issue, we provide a 7-day money back guarantee from the date of purchase upon request with proof of purchase.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
MySoundLib is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for uncompromising stability and reliability across creative workflows, in no event shall MySoundLib, its founder, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this software.
6. Contact & Support
If you have any questions, feedback, or need assistance regarding these terms, EULA, or your license, you can reach MySoundLib directly via email at support@mysoundlib.com or via our feedback form in app. Development and design led by Thiago Neppel (Thneppel).
